Indie Gone Acoustic
"One man, One mind, One guitar" - Sex & Therapy is a solo-acoustic project by Nik Vischschraper, in which he aims to express his deep and powerful lyrics through guitar. The acoustic guitar may not be the most skilled, the vocals may not be the sweetest sound, but the words spoken by Nik are what count. From life experiences, bottled up emotions, and friends, to issues beyond that of a simple teenager's grasp, Nik aims to let it all out with his music. Written in the late hours of the night, his lyrics are not put to the mic until Nik believes they are the best possible way he can express what he wants to be said. Truth be told, he's just telling the truth. For three years now, Nik has been messing around with a classical guitar. His parents bought him his first electric guitar for Christmas, a Squier Affinity Strat, by Fender. After finding an old, beaten up, 12-string acoustic guitar to raise his collection to three, Nik decided it was time to purchase an acoustic guitar. With money saved up, he bought his Ibanez Talman TCM50 acoustic electric, which he uses currently. During the years, through a lot of fiddling around and experimentation with chords, Nik has been able to come up with some tunes and riffs to base his lyrics on. Sex & Therapy aims to add a second dimension to this music, by adding in separate riffs, vocals, and effect. It is always a work in progress, and Nik is always looking for ways to improve. Furthermore, S&T has now evolved into an indie band, featuring support from Nik's close friend Justin Sarrasin on guitars, and Stephen Swift on percussion. Through adding in acoustic support, electric leads, or back-up harmonies and vocals, Justin adds a further dimension to S&T's already unique sound. Stephen lays down the beats in order to had that extra punch to S&T's tunes. The act can also feature the addition of keys to help expand the creations of Sex & Therapy. Folks, we all need Sex & Therapy. Sex & Therapy is: Nik Vischschraper - Guitars, Vocals Justin Sarrasin - Guitars Stephen Swift - Percussion

I Rearranged All The Lyrics So This Wouldn’t Be Considered A Love Song Here I am and I’ve got flowers Just a moment, let me open my eyes Are you open? Are you free? Is this me? What a cruel way to tell someone “I love you” The night is dark, I know It’s hard to tell what’s coming at you What’s there? What’s around the corner? Is it just my head? I can be there to push you Cross the line, cross the line, cross the line This is new, this is the news Here I am and I’ve got flowers Just a moment, let me open my eyes Are you open? Are you free? Is this me? What a cruel way to tell someone “I love you” Just a fake light, so flicker I don’t know the truth so I just mutter What’s the cost? What’s the matter? Is it just my head? I can be there to push you Take a stand, take a stand, take a stand This is new, this is the news Here I am and I’ve got flowers Just a moment, let me open my eyes Are you open? Are you free? Is this me? What a cruel way to tell someone “I love you” When it seems like it’s over, when the clouds roll over Give me a sign, I can deliver A bouquet we call connection I can be there, we can bloom This is new, this is the news Here I am and I’ve got flowers Just a moment, let me open my eyes Are you open? Are you free? Is this me? What a cruel way to tell someone “I love you”
