Story behind the song
“Iron” brings the essence of the traditional Calypso “doo-doop” rhythm into the new millennium and thus completes the circle of creativity that began with the first calypso recording in 1914.
Since then, the ancient oral traditions first brought to the Caribbean by African slaves have spread across the globe and spawned many, many offspring, including: Reggae, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Rapso and Soca. In 2006, Spot Rushaz has combined these elements to create a unique genre they have branded “Tiefhead Music”.
