Story behind the song
This song is a reminder that we should love one another as Christ loves us. That is why the song is titled, ACTIVE kindness. We as people, who were created in the likeness of God, should take on the same character as our creator. If we as a people were to take on the likeness of Christ, we would have a lot less problems in the world, i.e., rape, murder, hatred, and all the other pitfalls of mankind. Just as the story of the Good Samaritan. After a man was robbed and stripped of his clothing, and then left for dead, two people, one of them a priest, walked on the other side of the road. It was only until a Samaritan, who was on that same road, stopped and came to his aid, and took him to an inn. He dressed his wounds and told the innkeeper to take care of him until he got back. He said that he would reimburse him for any other costs that incurred. The Jews because of political and religious differences hated the Samaritans. Those types of differences should not make a difference in the large scope of things. We should love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

I’ve heard the sound of your cries
I’ve seen the shadows of your tears
The prophets time has come
It’s been my plan for many years
We have all had our burdens
Show me someone who really cares
Through life we go through our seasons
It’s time to love, it’s time to share
My son, I’ve been with you
The love you’ve been wanting to find
My wisdom's far greater
It stretches beyond mankind
Were we put here for a reason?
Is there one who can tell me why?
My God's aromas pleasing
Don’t let life pass you by
On the darkest day I saw him
Lying in a pool of his blood
Was it a mistake or a sin?
Trampled in the mire and mud
My son, I’ve been with you
The love you’ve been wanting to find
My wisdom's far greater
It stretches beyond mankind
There wasn’t a soul to help him
The bullet pierced his eye
Masses of people looked on
My Lord why did he have to die?
My God, my dear friend, my brother
By him we were told what to do
He taught us love one another
As I have come here and loved you
My son, I’ve been with you
The love you’ve been wanting to find
My wisdom's far greater
It stretches beyond mankind
