Judgement Day Blues

A blues version of The Book of Revelations. Well, the beginning of it anyway. You probably won't get it all but it'll give you an idea.
Acoustic Guitar, folk/country/blues/ballad. Is that enough?
I am a Christian Singer/songwriter living in Scotland and have home-produced two CDs 'Me and Hymn' and 'Revelation'. My style ranges from folk/country to acoustic blues. My songs are a mixture of praise, self-witness and reflection. I have sold my CDs to family and friends but never shared my music outwith this community.

Story behind the song
I was thinking about the old blues phrase "Well, I woke up this morning..." and I though, "What would the ultimate 'morning' be to wake up on? I then just followed the bible text! PS It's a really good way to study a passage of the Bible - to write a song about it.
Lyrics
JUDGEMENT DAY BLUES Well I woke up this morning ’bout half past nine A brand new day, I was feelin’ fine I looked out my window- I nearly died There was a million people standing in line outside I looked at the sky and things became clear Glory Hallelujah Judgement Day is here The door to heaven was open wide And a voice said to me,‘Why don’t you come inside?’ There were lights, thunder and emerald green The strangest sight that I ever have seen Creatures all around every shape and size Flappin’ their wings and rolling their eyes All of these creatures surrounded a throne Praising the one who sat there alone In his hand he had a mighty scroll He was looking for someone with a perfect soul “Is there anyone who’s worthy?” an angel said And everyone around just hung their head I stood ashamed with tears in my eyes And then someone said to my surprise “Don’t you cry, wipe your tears away ‘Cause here comes the one who will save the day!” Then I saw a lamb standin’ at the throne Then I saw With a thousand million angels singin’ a song CONTD Well the first seal was broken with six more to go A rider on a white horse holdin’ a bow He was sent out to conquer- a crown on his head Never to stop till all around him was dead From the second came a rider, sword in his hand On his red horse he rode out to slaughter all man The third held some scales and was black as the night Mourning and famine – a terrible sight When the fourth seal was broken another horse appeared – a white sickly- pale one to be feared The rider was death he had murder in mind And all of Hell followed closely behind When the fifth seal was broken a great cry was heard From the souls of those slaughtered for their faith in the Lord Then I watched as the sixth seal was broken and saw The sun turning black as a funeral pall The moon red as blood stars fell from the sky And everyone on Earth gave an almighty cry Every mountain and island was vanished from sight Every man on Earth fled into the night They hid in the crags and the mountain caves The rich and the poor the free and the slaves Hide and save us from the face of the one Who sits on the throne for Judgement Day has come When the seventh seal was broken There was quiet all around Seven angels seven trumpets but they Didn’t make a sound They offered up their prayers to the One on the throne Then with lightning and Thunder the silence was gone The angels they blew with all of their might and I started screamin’ in the middle of the night So let me tell you people that that day Will comeWhen we all will answer to The only One Standin’ in line waitin’ Our turn receiving our Judgement While the heavens burn Well the dream that I had was all too Clear We’d better all be ready When Judgement Day is here We’d better all be ready… When Judgement Day is here
