A reword and vamp of my Been There which much as I love it, hasn't gone anywhere. Now where do I find that Kieth Turbine bloke? In A minor. Graham

Strictly a demos only performer <br />Jam at live gigs sometimes and have a whole lotta fun doing it
I am writer, and general Mister Nice Guy. I am not a performer but manage to squeak out stuff good enough for others to hear and do better with. Lucky for you lot. I get a few other people to sing and play some of my stuff. I do make Karaoke tracks of my songs and perform them every Saturday night, trotting twix the two local pubs that do karaoke. I have a whole heap more fun than doing covers all the time. Most weeks having at least one new song to try out on the punters. Have seven recorded and getting airplay. And not only on my show Roar Radio either. Backing music for Born To Be Blue is now on a video showing the Esperance service providers. Out soon. More later.

Story behind the song
I love the story. Just trying to tell it right. Graham
Lyrics
You’ve Been There Copyright © Graham Henderson APRA 2006 You’ve been there with cattle When the country’s locked in drought. And water points are few and far between. You’ve been there in Autumn. When bloat is all the go. So know the down side of pasture’s lush and green. You’ve been there with sheep. When the flood plain’s running deep. Working vainly as they panic. Pack. And drown. You’ve had to treat. A working dog’s worn out feet. And cried when you’ve put an old one down. You’ve felt pain and remorse, as you saddled up a horse. That really should be put out for a rest. You’ve often said you’re sorry, but there’s work that must be done. And put its willing heart up to the test. You’ve been there ‘round dawn. Helping lambs be born. Or mothering up those, who’s Mom has gone. And you’ve been there when. Bushfires rage again. So you are a special breed of men. Because. Chorus 1 You’ve been there. And know what it’s like. To live with heartbreak. And to live with pain. And because you’ve been there. You’re a bushman obviously. The heart of the sun burnt plain. Instrumental I bet you’ve rode at night. In the outback starry bright. Around a mob that was bedding down. And reflected on your life, and in spite of all its strife. Sworn you could never live in town. Chorus 2 Well. Ride with pride knowing. You’re the heart of the Aussie dream. And Australia is a better place, because, you’ve been there.
