Just another singer/songwriter. I play all my own instruments (except drums) and record on a Boss BR1200CD standalone multi-track recorder
Just an old Back To The Land hippie that stuck to his plan.

Story behind the song
I used to live in Tucson and wondered what it would have been like to be a cowboy 150 years earlier when there were no roads or fences...
Lyrics
He was layin' out on the prairie..his campfire burnin' low... Ain't no need to hurry..he got no where's to go Maybe to the south where the sun is warm get some refried beans and Mexican corn.. (CHORUS) He's a cowboy..Colorado Cowboy He got a buckskin horse right near by, grazin' in the ol' moonlight... Somethin' 'bout the sound of the river...makes him feel alright...he's thinkin' 'bout a sweet little seniorita..the sound of guitars and a shot of tequila.. CHORUS HARP SOLO Well there's a coyote howlin' out in the hills singin' that lonesome song.. But somethin' about it..it gives him a thrill..he knows it won't be long.. 'Til he's up on his horse in the mornin' sun..hot on the trail of some goodtime fun.. CHORUS Maybe some day he gonna settle down..find a place to be happy..just hangin' around..he's a cowboy...Colorado Cowboy.. yeah he's a cowboy...Colorado Cowboy.

These lyrics and melody take me right to the southwest. Words you can sink teeth into. Great song!
