I participated in a group called Orphan for a brief while with some fun guys. I had this melody over a Beatle rip riff and felt the word Orphanology fit real well. A made up word but the meaning of the song is that even in a house full of people kids today are sometimes still like orphans. The song is about living on the internet and not really going out and mixing with others. With Dennis singing & JT Drums
This song is in the movie "Pope Dreams"
Lyrics
Surround myself in isolation
While I’m staring at the screen
Suicidal occupation
It’s like living in a dream
Can you please tell me
Who am I supposed to be
(Chorus)
Orphanology my back’s against the wall
New society it freaks me out drags me down
I’m feeling small
Self provided information
There’s no need for anyone
It gets me to my destination
I’m feeling colder than a stone
(Chorus)
Orphanology my back’s against the wall
New society freaks me out drags me down
Feeling small
Where do I belong (can you)
Where do I belong (please tell me)
Can’t engage in conversation
You don't see me when I smile
I must enjoy this alienation
See I’ve been here for awhile
(Chorus)
Orphanology my back’s against the wall
Chronologically we’re headed for a fall
Orphanology I’m running down a hall
New society it freaks me out drags me down
feeling small
