Corner Stone is a group of stylistic nomads. As soon as you settle into one of their laid-back funky tunes like "Isn't It Amazin'", they break left and smash full throttle into one of their heavy pit bangers like "Witcha". Their CD "Corrective Action" encapsulates the thoughts, feelings and overall attitudes of the band's members. Despite only sharing a few influences here and there, Corner Stone's tracks on an individual basis come across as cohesive, fluid and unforced. Corner Stone has been steadily working their way up into being one of the top tier bands in their hometown of Vegas since debuting in February of 2001. They've become a consistently good draw in addition to snagging Band of the Month honors on the lvlocalmusicscene.com site and a full-page article in local publication City Life Magazine in June of 2002. With a relentless promotion ethic, wonderful support from fans, local promoters and radio and their new CD in hand, the band is looking to leave the nest and start exposing the rest of the world to what they're all about. And that is ... good music regardless of what category it's thrown into.

Story behind the song
The song is part reality, part fiction. It's mostly based on vocalist Randall Logan's fear of approaching women and the rare event where he finally bites the bullet and goes for it. All goes well, happy ending, blah blah blah. A BIG favorite with the females
Lyrics
What would you do if I met you anywhere besides here / I mean without the lighting, loud music / And the whole club atmosphere / Would you speak to me / Or would I get the brush off / Would you stop for a second / Or would you rush off / My only reason for asking is to see / Whether you're just bein' social / Or if on some level, you're feelin' me / 'Cause when I scoped you / I hoped you'd show me that smile / That you're flashin' to me right now / I'm tryin' not to be disrespectful / But I must say / That tonight, you're lookin' quite delectable / So I might give you the once over / Hey look, I made a request / The DJ said he'd play my song after this one's over / And I would love it / If you would join me on the floor / For that song / Or maybe even a couple more / Don't worry, I'll only get as close as you do / There'll be no freakin' or grindin' / Unless of course you want to / Time sure flies when you're havin' fun / Nearly an hour and a half has passed / And I feel this night has just begun / But I see your girls are rushin' you out / So take my number / I'm sure we've got plenty more to talk about -CHORUS- ‘Cause you’ve got me more than just a little curious / About your take on different things concernin’ us / Whether it be for or against / At best / My goal is to at least / Pique your interest What would you say if I told you / That I'm not always this forward / That it usually takes all of my guts / Just to muster up four words / That usually, I'm the type / To admire you from afar all night / But never seem to quite make the move / Not sure how to make a conversation ensue / Hopin' by chance / I'd be approached by you / 'Cause you seem like the type of woman / That gets hit on so much / That you're guard is up / When you see 'em comin' / So understand / Even though I guarantee / That I'm not like the average man / All in your face frontin' / Talkin' ‘bout nothin' / I can't lie / I was about to let you just walk by / But then I feared this chance / Would never come again / Now, I know what you're thinkin' / This sounds like game and cheap lines / That you've heard a million times / But I assure you / That my statements are genuine / But I guess it makes sense that you're not convinced / So allow me / To provide the proper evidence / I'm sure that if we were to get / A chance to spend some one on one time / And pick each other's brains a bit / That you'd see that I'm not just talk / And I'm positive / That you'll understand / Why I'm bein' so inquisitive -CHORUS- How'd you react if I turned on some music / So we could slow dance in the living room / Walked up behind you / And just let my arms envelope you / Let my cheek press up against yours / While my hands / Trace all of your body's smooth contours / Or how would you like it if I laid / A blanket of soft kisses / That trailed from your neck / To your shoulder blade / Hope you don't mind if I nibble a little / Or whisper sweet nothings into your ear / Until they start to tickle / By then, you'd know that you're invited / Into my room / Where burnin' candles are the only lights provide / And when you kiss me / I'm unable to tell if my heart has stopped / Or started beatin' double time / Now before we would begin / I'd make sure that my lips have covered / Every single inch of your skin / If only to insure that you're equally as excited / As we lose ourselves / And let our bodies be united / I'd watch as your chest starts to heave / And the light reflects / Off of the sweat that starts to bead / And we start workin' even harder to please / Lovin' how your soft moans / Grow into loud erotic screams / Now you can squeeze on my shoulders and back / As the rush overtakes us both / And we collapse / A climactic end to our story / That can't be made possible / Unless, of course you choose to join me -CHORUS-
