Chaos may engulf our lives in noise and danger, but something in our hearts beats louder...
I am a songwriter dedicated to spreading the good news about the love and mercy of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Story behind the song
My friend Scott created a booming low-frequency electronic rhythm section and called it "Something Beats Louder". He explained that, even through the noise and distractions of life, God's Spirit beats LOUDER in his heart. I immediately thought of Elijah's experience with a great wind, an earthquake and a fire. The Lord was not in any of these things, but came in a gentle whisper. I based my simple lyrics on this idea. Musically, the soothing flute represents The Lord, and everything else represents the chaos of life.

"Something Beats Louder"
Music by Scott Gemeindardt
Words and Music by Hank Stansfield
Mighty winds may deafen me
And the earthquakes pound the mountains down
But something in my heart
Something in my heart beats louder
Something in my heart beats louder...
