This music was all completely improvised on synthesizers and samplers back in 1983 and 1984, by Arnie Stanton and Tim Fluarty. We thought of it as the dark and foreboding side of "New Age" music. You may be rather surprised about the wide pallete of colors and styles the songs produced. For more music by Arnie Stanton, consider visiting his music page.

Story behind the song
Did you know that Tim for the most part preferred to record and mix everything into mono rather than stereo? He was kind of a purist about that. Much of our stuff up to this point was in mono, but I remixed the best I could later using such things as stereo fx and breaking up various frequency ranges with different pan widths. I believe Midnight was THE final piece we did that was purely in mono. Ironically, one of our very first piece we did, Eat the Clock, because of stereo echo, was recorded of course in stereo.
