NTRIGUE This intriguing sister act duo hails from the beautiful twin-island of Trinidad and Tobago. Charlene and Kelly-Ann Griffith known as “CHARLI (The Blak Mermaid) and RUBI (Genesis)” respectively captivates their audience with their image, onstage aura and of course their amazing vocal talent. CHARLI with her smooth seductive deep soulful voice and on the contrast powerful and explosive sing-jay style bridged with RUBI’s high vocal range and pure skillful adlibbing creates a dynamic sound that can’t be ignored. These sisters have been singing together for the past six years. They both attended a vocal institute for four years which also happened to be a Gospel Choir. For the other two years they have worked with a renowned producer from the Caribbean, Richard “Char SU” Ahong. Seeing the tremendous talent and versatility in the sisters a varied ensemble of styles were created with R&B, Hip/Hop, Soca and Reggae. CHARLI is also the main songwriter for the duo. These ladies are truly grounded in their abilities! Coming from the Caribbean where paradise is envisaged, with their music they capture the essence of it. It’s fun, it’s soothing, it’s comforting and full of energy. On the remake of the Alicia Keys “Fallin” they married the Calypso and Techno dance beat with the R&B groove of this track while adding a twist of sing-jay style creating an unusual but tasty mix that will keep you moving. On their original track “Summertime” expect to be taken to the sea, sun & fun with the Hip hop/R&B blend of Caribbean undertones. 2’Ntrigue has opened shows for the renowned R&B performer Usher , Junior Gong of the Marley Brothers and Beres Hammond to name a few.
