Story behind the song
Amir was on the Thursday message boards seeing all these kids call their beloved band 'emo.' This bugged Amir because Thursday is one of his favorite bands and he knows that Thursday is indeed a hardcore band and would rip your head off if you call them anything else. Also Amir and Nick both agree that 'emo' 'screamo' and 'emocore' are pathetic stereotypes so they make fun of them as much as possible. "If you call yourself 'emo' and mean it I pitty you. Taking pride in being a immature wuss is not cool." -Amir Note: on the lyrics everything in quotes are things people have told Amir or Amir has hear people say about Thursday. The rest is Amir being a dick and showing you who is boss.

“I cried last night listening to my Thursday CD, Full Collapse but I don’t know why.” On the fucking CD it says that Thursday is fucking hardcore. If you put down and have a hardcore subject then why do they think that they’re ‘emo’. “Why do I think that my life is cool? As long as I think Thursday is ‘emo’.” So the other day I went into a cigarette shop (which makes no sense since I'm straight edge and I don't know where the cigarette shops are so this of course would mean liquor or convenience store) and this guy came up and looked at my Thursday ‘Dove’ shirt and I said “Yeah, you think they’re ‘emo’?” he said “Yeah, they’ve sold out. Cause I listen to all this pussy music and I hate my life and want to die at the stroke of my heart.” Thursday is not talking about another controlling day and night. Why can’t these guys go to old school shows to buy fucking Thursday shirts? Well they know you know you can get them at Hot Topic. So what if I want to kill Hot Topic? So what if I want to bomb Hot Topic? It’s not my fault I wasn’t media sized by all this shit I see on MTV. “But I think that Thursday is ‘emo’” you’re a fucking pussy and listening to ‘emo’. “Why do they even play this scene if they know they’re ‘emo’?” Why do they ask me if Thursday is emo? Why don’t you kids know that Thursday is not emo, they’re not a fucking emo band. Yesterday I wore an ink on my chest that said, “We’re falling apart together.” And I died twice today because of your lies and the words you say didn’t mean a thing as long as I can breath cause I know I’ll be followed by a model next to me. You don’t know what you will fucking say so don’t say anything. You’re not living the month of May because by then I will have taken a gun to your mouth and blown out your brains.
