Peter Hutton (Myself) and William Pilling tried as a band at first but just progressed into a duo. Both of us sing and both of us play guitar. I've been writing music since I was fifteen and rather than looking for a perfect sound or a perfect look within music, I take myself to a different place, a different dimension if you will where i'm effected only by spirits and energies that run through me. Will is a fantastic vocalist and musician who has fast become a valued friend of mine and have also steered him from seeing music in a genre-ised fashion and in doing so he thanks me for helping him see music as a language and a life force rather than something you listen to because its expected of you.

Story behind the song
The best woman that i have known passed away on december 12th 2004. I got the strangest feeling that morning. I was quite lucky, in a way, to find out that my Gran only had 24 hours to live so i was able to say my goodbyes to her. On the morning of the 12th i felt a spirit leave my body and then 4 minutes after my mum came in to tell me the news. After about an hour of sat crying in my bed I sat up and wrote the lyrics and music purely from what the spirits had been saying to me that morning when Gran passed on. I felt it neccassary to take both guitar and vocal parts of this track. My singing is something to be improved but none the less the song brings gran back to me everytime i play it or hear it. An interesting note and one that fills me with joy is when i played it to my friend Joe who i worked with. The next day he was humming it in the office trying to think of the song. Another un-important note is that i had oringally called the song 'crossing rivers' but when i wrote it to put in grans casket i felt that 'strong woman' summed her up more.
Lyrics
Strong woman, crossing rivers, fading so softly into the midst, don't cry woman, its not so bad, its gotta be crossed, so dont be sad, its not about pain anymore, its about happiness thats all, I hope strong woman when you look down, you see the love that found, swinging in a willow tree, like you did when you were fifteen. Don't cry stong woman, there's love from everyone, Crossing rivers, you're there with your sisters
