A dirty bluesy shuffle with a loud chorus, that wouldn't sound out of place in a pole dancing club!
rock funk music
We make rock with a groove.
THIRD SUMMER are a rock band from the UK. We're heavily influenced by good music, and not influenced at all by bad music. Our first cd is now complete, and all the songs are here for you to play (if you like 'em!). We recorded it live, so what you hear is what you get, warts and all. Feel free to visit our official website, and sign up to the forum, which all 3 of us frequent. Play the music loud and don't forget to put on your best dancing trousers!

Story behind the song
FOR A LIVING Jamie - " This song has been poured into many different containers over the last few months, and this version is the tastiest yet! (That sounded like I was advertising a crispy pancake, but I digress). It's not the most original subject (not crispy pancakes but the subject of the song - i.e. the daily grind), but I tried to forget all that and just write it with my own voice. That didn't work too well, so I wrote it with a pen instead. " Martin - " This song has gone through more changes than Michael Jackson's face, and I think this is the best version of it we've done. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it gets better the more I hear it. I've only been playing bluesy type stuff for around the last 6 months, and this song gave me a chance to put it to the test, even though I dipped my toes back into the faster style for a few bars. Reminds me of pole dancing honeys with g-strings full of money ! " Paul - " Where to begin with this track? It has been through so many mutations over time and rehearsals, its been mid tempo, then possibly acoustic, then much faster and now I feel its best incarnation is finally here, as a blues shuffle which lives or dies on its chorus! "
