Our first cd is now complete, and all the songs are here for you to play (if you like 'em!). We recorded it live, so what you hear is what you get, warts and all. Story behind the song
KEEP Jamie - " The words to this were written a long time ago, before I joined any bands. The interpretation is left to the listener. There aren't many words in this current incarnation, thankfully - and it's got a nice long (long) guitar solo at the end. So that's all right then. It's quite a classic-sounding rock tune, to my ears, with Martin's fingerprints all over it. This is probably the one that took the longest to come together as it is now, surprisingly enough. " Martin - " I take sole responsibility for this beast. The main song is a tribute to one of my all time favourite guitarists, but I'm not saying who ! The initial part of the song was actually written as a separate song, but in the end we just decided to tag it onto the beginning as it seemed a shame to waste it. I wanted to record the solo in one take and keep it, warts and all, so what you hear is that single take, which I played facing a wall like a school dunce ! " Paul - " This is Martins baby! Up until recently, it was pretty much same throughout, with long guitar solo. Recently we started adding a more dynamic (Some might say demented!) rhythm section while Martin goes on his spiritual journey to solo nirvana!! I cant remember the solo being this long in any rehearsal, but at least it did finally end! Congratulations to Martin for the solo and for still having some skin left on his fingers at the end! "
