Hi folks. I have added a lot of videos recently. Please take a look!
Hi folks, This site acts as a personal archive of my work. So you'll find my best recordings here as well as some pretty crappy ones. The earliest recordings here were made on simple cassette decks, others were made on mobile phones, some are live recordings made at various gigs over the years, a handful were made in small recording studios, but most of the more recent ones were made at home on a Zoom portable studio, which itself is now rather ancient! If you like a song and want to download it, click on 'Full song info' for that song and you will see the download link. You can also read the lyrics and any background information on the songs that I may have added. All my music is available for free - enjoy :) cheers, Charles

Story behind the song
This is a rough tape of the studio version of this song as recorded with Da-Da in Philo's Comptche studio. For a contrast you can also hear me playing the original arrangement of this song just with acoustic guitar on this site.
Lyrics
I had a fantasy I could see you and me Sharing a world of crazy magic But you were indifferent Oh you just didn't wanna know Oh no - oh no - you said Don't get romantic But it wasn't enough for me just to be your friend And a stick has to break if it won't bend Now you say that you're sorry but you can't heal my pain And you tell me that I've only got myself to blame And that nothing I can do will ever change your mind And that telling me so plainly is just acting kind And you're so right But your words cut like a knife Oh you're so right But that doesn't make it easier Tonight - tonight! Now the doors are all closed on me And empty is all I see Empty before - empty after There's nowhere I wanna go I turn on my radio But all that I hear is hollow laughter And now you say that I'm so stupid to be feeling sad And the world's so full of beauty it should make me glad And every single moment should be ecstacy And nothing's really wrong - it just appears to be And you're so right But your words cut like a knife Oh you're so right But that doesn't make it easier You're so right But your words cut like a knife Oh you're so right But that doesn't make it easier
