Lyrics
Inishowen ©didi 2000 As I stood in the field in Inishowen I looked across at the Antrim cost line And its pitiful lights marking the spots where the sun used to shine Up on a height hewn out by the hand of the Ulster giant There’s a castle shining darkly, shaded by the low hills on either side A library crumbles into the sea, built for the lady enchantress. A few steps to the waters edge and I can touch the same water that flows into your wells. The sandy shore is strewn with flotsam that once was litter at your feet To my right there is a city shining and reflected in the purple sky To my left windows twinkle and shimmer selfishly as the catch the moon Below me is the wet soil glistening in this autumn gold I feel my feet anchored en-earthed in this land.
