Dale Haywood is a singer/songwriter from Colora, Maryland. After several cover bands and years of live gigs Dale decided to attempt recording his own songs. With the help of several friends, Dale has recorded a large catalogue of original music. His music covers everything from Country to Blues to Rock, but all of it has a heavy southern influence. Most of the recordings were created in his home studio and none of them would have been possible without the generosity and creativity of some very talented friends. Dale continues to write, record, and occasionally perform his music whenever given the opportunity.

Story behind the song
Alot of my songs start out with one line that won't leave me alone. That was the case with this one and after I couldn't take it anymore and sat down to explore it I ended up with a song about the worst relationship I ever had. The jist of it is how no matter how hard you try to forget someone and the hell they put you through you never forget the good times that got you there in the first place. The memories of that person, good or bad, can hit you at anytime, any place, or anywhere.
Lyrics
Your Memory Your memory wades through rough water and crashes on the shores of my soul No matter where I’m at or what I’m doin’ its always in control I’ve tried to walk away and Lord knows I’ve tried to run Runnin’ to or away from you puts me right back on square one -CHORUS- ‘Cause you’re a pickup and a put down You’re long gone and you’re hangin’ around Sometimes I wonder if you’ll ever leave You’re a warm spring breeze on a cold dark night You’re the last supper by candlelight Yeah, you’re still livin’ in me You’re all my mind can see I’ll see a picture, or hear a tune … or someone will say the wrong thing Good or bad here you come again, smilin’ or frownin’ on my face Yeah, you don’t care what kind of mood I’m in, whether I’m up or down Your memory does what it wants whenever it comes around -CHORUS- -SOLO- -BRIDGE- I’ve tried to move on, I’ve tried to forget No matter what I try I can’t shake you yet I don’t know, I don’t know what I’m gonna do There ain’t no, there ain’t no gettin’ over you … yeah … -CHORUS-
