Story behind the song
This was an answer to the song Angel. I wrote the song angel as a love song for a girl I was dating at the time. I go in depth a little further on angel in that section. Alone Again was an answer to the same girl when we broke up. I wasn't really as into all of the crap as it seemed at the time. I was really just trying to get some inspiration from somewhere to get out of the writer's block I was in. I tend to make things bigger deals than they really are just so I can write about them at a more intense level. At least that's what I did then. Now I can finally write from imaginary people's perspectives and not look like a wuss. Yeah, fortunately the seriousness of these songs drove her off so I wouldn't have to deal with her anymore, and this song shut her up about the whole "listen to this song he wrote for me" crap she was doing about the first song. She went on to have a beautiful child out of wedlock with the next dude in line. Good thing I dodged that bullet, huh? ha ha, I hope that's not bad charma.
