Story behind the song
I enjoy music that takes me to another place and that was the motivation for this one. In the second half of this brief song, I tried to create a mysterious, other worldly feel. The title "Mirror Image" comes from the last guitar lick as the song fades out. If you listen carefully, you'll hear me play four ascending notes, sustain until I get harmonic feedback and then descend following my steps back down to the original starting note. Consequently, I created a mirror image of a guitar phrase. All lead guitar parts were played using a glass slide on a Fender Telecaster in standard tuning.
