A traditional country song like Fraulein by Bobby Helms. An American gets in with a Swedish lady rather than a German.

Jim Colyer Band is a free-wheeling, ever-changing thing. Members come and go. The one constant is my catalog of songs. I do some of the lead vocals but employ females as I write lots of girl songs.

Story behind the song
I went to Stockholm after I wrote the book about the Swedish pop group, ABBA. I met a young Swedish woman in the old town (Gamla Stan) but did not have an affair with her. We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe, and that was all.
Lyrics
STOCKHOLM LADY I was a private in the army On a two-week leave in Sweden I met a Swedish lady On a bus outside of town I listened to her tell her story Then I guess I told her mine I spent the next two-weeks With this Stockholm Lady so fine I've never known such peace As she lay there in my arms Her blue eyes seemed to speak Those Scandinavian charms I've got my discharge in my hand My plane is about to land I'm going back To my Stockholm Lady again
