All in their early 20's, Another Life has been a musical group for nearly 10 years. Over such a long period, even a rock band experiences drama. Former singers haven't been able to handle the level of committment Another Life demands, and they have fallen away. However as if by a cosmic stroke, the frontman of Another Life, Aaron Smith, emerged in late March 2005. Like the members of Another Life, Aaron was a member of a Jazz Ensemble throughout High School making him an immediate fit. This brought the band to a higher level than ever before. After only 2 weeks, Aaron returned for his second audition with lyrics and melodies to the original music the band had given him. The results were instantly recognized as needing to be fully explored. Full songs were quickly in play, and Aaron was inaugurated unanimously into the band in early April 2005. Another Life is a living entity in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This musical being is now complete with Aaron as frontman, and it will not be stopped. Adding to the hundreds of shows Another Life has already played in their history, they continue to walk onto stages everywhere they can with this evolved breed of grunge-jazz rock. They are as comfortable and free on stage as they are in their own homes. This recent and extreme success only adds to the mystery of how Another Life is still relatively unknown. It also solidifies the certainty of their impending break onto the global scene. This IS the ground floor. Today there are more bands than ever before. What's more is there are more people listening to music and going to shows than ever before. We've entered a time where studio magic isn't going to cut it for being a successful and respected entity in the music business. Another Life is very much a live band, and a group of musicians with talent, ambition and integrity. Another Life refuses to leave a performance to be considered anything less than art. Combined with their explosive and unique personalities, they never leave a fan disappointed. Anyone who hasn't seen or heard Another Life at this point can be sure it won't be long until they do.
