EMRTAL Bio - Born and raised Memphian and lover of the Hip Hop Culture. Always been involved with music in some way shape, form, or fashion. I began this quest into the world of music first through various small projects among friends and other musically talented folks with small no-name bands and various detours from one project to the next. After little more than 10 years of being fascinated by hip hop and trip hop DJs and always wanting to try my hand at DJing I finally made a successful move. Eventually E found himself smack in the middle of becoming a Turntablist in the making. I've made incredible leaps and bounds in a short amount of time thanks to Studio Foe pioneer David Bryant ,and all the people who've pushed me to better myself. I've been @ it for a minute now as far as mixing music through various means is concerned. I've been using everything from computer software programs like Acid Pro, Cakewalk, & Fruity Loops, to video games and pc simulators like eJay Clubworld, and finally to Turntablism and Djing. I'm as quick as the quickest learner and I've picked it up fairly well in the short amount of time I've been doing this. It comes almost supernaturally. So far I've been taking on the quest of adding trophies to my mantel in the form of working and collaborating with local and not-so-local artist such as Ripley, TN rapper J-SMOOVE, Memphis's own MARCO POLO & DB, AEGEAN MEDUSA from outta Brooklyn, NY, and others. I'm always looking for other artist to blend with. I'd like to work with just about anyone - not just rappers and other turntablist. Right now my goal is to prepare myself for my next move: To finish building up my Turntablist arsenal by adding Samplers, Scratchable CD Turntables, and a few other tools so I can begin playing shows and working in the Local music scene performing my own personal musical works. My goal is to be apart of Memphis's hip hop culture and bring my own flavor to it by utilizing my sounds which are inspired by such artists as KRUSH, SHADOW, THIEVORY CORP., THE X-ECUTIONERS, GORILLAZ, PORTISHEAD, SNEAKER PIMPS, BAXTER, TRICKY, GOLDFRAPP, DEPECHE MODE, SUPREME BEINGS OF LEISURE, and other such influences.
