Inspired by a conversation at a cottage up in the mountains. The current version up here is only a rough vocal to guitar - I'm still suffering from the head cold I managed to catch on the same mountaon, possibly in the same cottage!

The "band" is just me, silly :) Ama, 20 years old singer-songwriter from Norway. I've been playing and writing for about 4 or 5 years, but doing it seriously only for the last 2. My lyrics are my pride, second to the guitar that accompanies them. I try to write not too much melancholy, try to add in sarcasm etc, but my heart keeps on giving everything (almost) a good kick of melancholy no matter what I do. People have given me credit for writing very melodic songs, songs that can be sung accapella and lose not too much of their 'feel'. If this is true, I don't know - I always appreciate feedback with (both positive and negative) critizism - as long as I'm given some time to digest it ;) My nspiration is anything singer-songrwiter really. I listen to artists and bands who are recognized for their lyrics - that's what's important to me. Before musical cleverness, I adore clever lyrics. A combination of the two makes a fan out of me.

Lyrics
Whispering My feet are heavy, my feet are so, so heavy I’m on my way, but all I do is slide and slide and fall and stumble away nothing solid ever seems to remain nothing sustains nothing ever adds up profitable or right, but stop me if I’m wrong, but some things seem to be forgotten and left alone I drew a pink flower on my window but it died as tears froze You don’t leave your baby by the door Not for a second should you Whisper a curse you don’t want You might get lucky, the stars might Hear you that one time you wished you’d have shut your mouth so don’t be wishing me gone, ‘cause one day my feet will feel less heavy you held my head in your hands and I’d scream until I’d collapse another year, another sorry why can’t everyone survive? I slide and slide and crawl and crumble Just how many times can one forgive the unforgivable? You don’t leave your baby by the door Not for a second should you Whisper a curse you don’t want You might get lucky, the stars might Hear you that one time you wished you’d have shut your mouth so don’t be wishing me gone, ‘cause one day my feet might feel less heavy How many times can you carry on How many times can you continue to roll How many moments of weakness are forgivable And how many fights will you lose to keep Singing along to the same old beat? How many moments of weakness are forgivable?
