Story behind the song
I was playing music with a young woman who often expressed her feelings about her boyfriend of 7 years. Through her stories, it was obvious that she was in a declining relationship. I wrote, and had her sing, this song to help her come to that realization.
Also, I've written letters in anger and sent them ... never a good idea. "Write a letter to yourself - with everything you can't say out loud." Yourself being the operative word.
