Thad Foster grew up in a hot little desert town on an Indian Reservation in Arizona. A line from one of his songs says " Moved to the city in my youth, never looked back, never knew I missed it. But now I'm a man and I long to go back, take me back to those towns with their big Oak Trees, Take me back to the good ole country!" He explains what he misses about a simpler life away from the city. "Many people think that Country Music is all about pick up trucks, and double wide trailers! Not true! Country Music is about real America. The America that the people living in the big cities never see. The people that grow the food and are the back bone of the American Economy. Plain honest folks that look out for each other in time of need and reach out to others when they are hurting, or maybe just need a shoulder to lean on. Hard work, discipline, self discovery, and the same determination that the pioneers of this land had that enabled them to settle and tame it. To me, that's what Country Music is all about." says Thad.

Story behind the song
It is about my hometown and how it is constant and changes very little and that there is something about that fact that keeps calling me back home.
Lyrics
Parker Arizona That old town's always the same I've got a new persona But that old place will never change Even though I had moved away Even though I had seen the world She called be back to her Why oh why can't I forget that town Desert heat burning like a flame Everyday it can stay the same She'll pull you back to her Try oh try you can't forget that town Parker Arizona My hometown's always the same I can't wait to see her Because that old place will never change Every night you can count the stars Every night you can take a swim Near Palo Verde Trees In that old Blue Green Colorado River Pretty girl sitting on a dock Summer rain falling on the rocks She calls you back to her Try oh try you can't forget that town Parker Arizona My hometown's always the same I can't wait to see her Because that old place will never change
