Riding the wave from their hugely successful concert during SXSW 2005, All Day I Drive announces the release of their eponymous debut album. Produced and mixed by Tim Gerron (Bjork, David Bowie) together with the band at the Music Lab in Austin, TX, and mastered at Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood, CA, by Stephen Marcussen (Aerosmith, Dave Matthews Band, Foo Fighters), this album blends staggering melodic vocals, potent guitar work, and driving rhythms to provide immediate hooks and melodies that leave a definite impression on anyone who listens. Inherently rock, All Day I Drive successfully combines influences such as Incubus, Matchbox Twenty, and Audioslave to produce an original sound all their own. Prior to the inception of All Day I Drive, its members each played with other successful bands in and around Texas. At one time or another, they had discussed their interest in combining their efforts to produce a new sound, and in February of 2004, did just that. Still without a name, a promoter contacted the band to fill an open showcase slot during SXSW 2004. The band worked day and night in the studio to create enough solid and original material to fill the 30-minute time slot. A few weeks and only a handful of rehearsals later, All Day I Drive blew the SXSW audience away. And, one year later almost to the day, the band announced the release of their first full-length album. In one short year, All Day I Drive has successfully created a buzz, not only within Austin, TX but one that extends throughout the Southeast. They have shared the stage with well-known bands such as Bowling For Soup and Vallejo. After performing during SXSW 2004, the band was invited and performed at Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; an invitation that has been extended for Summer 2005 as well. With national media interest, All Day I Drive hits the road in support of their new album.
