Abrasive noise and the tranquility of its aftermath. This track had two purposes: One, to represent with sound the sensation that wakes me up at night, and two, to prove to my brother that even a horribly detuned and detrussed guitar can be useful.

Rothniel is my solo electronic project. Most of my stuff so far is simple, ambient, and experimental, intended to be audible representations of various concepts, memories, etc. It's occurred to me that a lot of my stuff is pretty moody, but then, I suppose I'm a moody person. I like things bittersweet.

Story behind the song
My alternate title for this one was going to be "Why I Don't Sleeo." If you manage to read this part before you listen, you might want to keep a hand on the volume knob. It's not that it's terribly loud, but it's not terribly easy to listen to, either.
