This Music is for the HARD CORE believer. A soulful mix of heart grabbing worship and seriously funky praise that will leave you encouraged, empowered, convicte
What happens when you mix a little Al Jarreau, Marvin Gaye and Terrence Trent D'Arby with John the Baptist and the Psalmist, David? You get Soul'd Out! ... "Soul" for short. He's true to his name and bringin' it on his debut project "Soulitude" released in December of 2002. This project represents nearly 20 years of being "ahead of his time" musically as far as the genres in Christian Music would allow. But that's all changed now thanks to pioneers in the industry from Andre Crouch to Fred Hammond and Kirk Franklin and more recently "Nureau" Tonex (he says that this new genra represents music that previously had no place in Christian music stores so a "new row" had to be created). What was once considered too worldly or not "Christian" enough is being accepted by a large audience. Soul, the oldest of five children was born to sing and entertain. From the days of performing for the adults at family gatherings for spare change and harmonizing with his siblings, to a lifetime of singing in gospel choirs, to leading soulful worship in his church, Canaan Christian Fellowship where his father pastors, Soul has always had a vision that he would one day sing before kings to minister the goodness of the Lord. An evangelist with fire in his heart, his pen could be considered a flame thrower. His lyrics seem to come straight from the heart of God. Soul believes in bringing the message to the world in a culturally relevant way. "My desire is to be like Jesus and 'touch the lepers' of today (the bangers, the abandonned, the cultural intellects, even the carnal Christian that has temporarily lost site of the way). God has not called me to merely pray them out of a situation, He's called me to go to them and love them" says Soul.

Story behind the song
There is a story about when we die and stand before God... right before we go to heaven, One of those that are not coming with us happens to be someone you knew. And he/she asks... "Why didn't you tell me?"
Lyrics
(verse) Every day, same ol' same Talkin' 'bout the weather You think that if you say His Name that i might say "whatever" That's right, I might get mad at you Get up and walk away Or you might have a word or two To help me find my way Why don't you (chorus) Tell me the truth Don't say nice things to please me What have you heard Don't build me up and tease me I need to know Just how the Father sees me Give me a word Right now before you leave me (verse) Don't wait another day Yeah, you might hurt my feelings But something that you say Might make me think about my dealings If I'm lost how can I be found How lovely are the feet of those That bring Good News to town Why don't you (chorus) (bridge) What's inside of you That makes your life seem so complete After all this time Is there something going on That you haven't told me? (chorus)
