Story behind the song
8th July: Yesterday London's transport system was hit by terrorists, several people have died and many are injured. I was in London on monday and my friend said how you walk past so many people in a street in London that when they've passed you you've already forgotten their faces. Some of the images really stuck in my mind from the news so I wrote this song as a tribute to them and to show how I feel, that we will not be beaten by terrorists. Their aim is to hurt us and disrupt our lives, and we cannot let them win.
Lyrics
A friend once said to me that faces in London are gone from your mind when they pass you by But I'll remember when the faces are covered in blood The man on the stretcher is somebody's son but we've seen much worse They'll never break us They'll never win A friend once said to me that faces in London are gone from your mind when they pass you by But I'll remember The photo of the silhouette who's choking in the dark trying to make his way home but we've seen much worse They'll never break us They'll never win Life carries on Life carries on they'll never win
