One man, a guitar, and whatever else.
Heath Houston is a songwriter first and foremost. Almost anything you hear on here is based on that aspect of my abilities. As a matter of fact it's the only aspect I consider to be developed to a point where I feel comfortable with it. I'm not an accomplished guitarist, drummer, bassplayer, or singer. I have aspirations, though. I still have a 15 year old kid air-guitaring to Mtv inside me somewhere who wants to be on a stage in front of 10,000 fans, but I'm really very humble at heart. This page is just me and my songs... no one else. Maybe in the future I'll find some like minded individuals to form a band with. I wouldn't mind that. For now, though, it's just me expressing myself. I write songs because I can't imagine not writing songs. I make music because it's part of who I am. I'm making music in my head most all of my waking hours and quite a few sleeping ones as well. I appreciate the feedback and listens that I have been fortunate enough to have been given. Thank you for visiting and feel free to drop me and e-mail if you have any questions.

Story behind the song
This song was in some small part inspired by the movie "What Dreams May Come" but 90% came from a line I heard in a song once that stood out from the rest of the song. It wouldn't get out of my head and a story grew around it. This is that story.
Lyrics
and you know, all this is for nothing and you know, all this is for naught cause i know, living here is easy cause I know, living here is quietly getting old and I'll get to heaven too yeah I'll get to heaven too did you ever, ever think of learning all the things, all that you've been taught did you ever, ever think of keeping all the things, the presents that I bought and i'll get to heaven too yeah i'll get to heaven too and things will be more lovely than they are with us apart when i get to heaven does it matter, matter if I'm sleeping does it matter, if I can't be strong in the morning, maybe I'll feel better sometimes the morning, the morning takes so long and i'll get to heaven too yeah i'll get to heaven too and things will be more lovely than they are with us apart when i get to heaven when i get to heaven too i'll still hold a dream for you when I get to heaven too when I get to heaven too
