Lyrics
Ever since I picked up a mic, I was bound to be notorious, and I’m saving the rap game so people say I’m glorious. I’m not your average high school freshman in any sense, you’re at a well, wishing for the next big thing, my pockets are where your pennies went. I’m ready to emerge into the limelight, hottest rapper in the world, my career in hindsight. You may not believe me, but I’ll prove it to the masses, they’ll use my tracks to teach Rap 101 classes. So you can think I’m soft, go ahead and wink at me, I pay attention to every idiosyncrasy. Talking bout future stars, you wouldn’t even think of me, but once you catch a glimpse of me, you’ll never wanna blink at me. You don’t wanna miss my complete ascendance, I’ll become an addiction, you’ll develop a dependence. You’ll gasp and say “He’s so clever”, and in time you realize that I’m the best ever. (interlude) 2nd Verse - Just face the facts, I have all the essential elements, and once I’m on top, all your work will be irrelevant. When it comes to rap, I’m a 5 year veteran book me now, put me on Leno and Letterman. The rap game’s desperately lacking some young talent, and I’m the perfect fit, because I’m so gallant. I know I’m young, but I’m experienced enough to fill the void, 5 years and no reward’s enough to annoyed. I’ve poured my heart and soul into rap, to so far no avail, waiting to send those demo tapes into the mail. And its sick that rappers nowhere near my caliber are wealthy, when underground rappers are broke, that’s unhealthy. But I just sat back, and pushed through with perseverance and as I got more expensive they went on clearance. So you can cut me up and pour salt in my wounds and I’ll still make it, cuz once I get my shot at glory, no ones gonna take it. (interlude) 3rd Verse - So I hope people start to recognize this son of a gun, who can rhyme quicker than the Roadrunner can run. And pressure’s not an issue I can rap under a ton, with some rhymes as hot as the Phoenix Suns. So now my story’s been told, the rights ain’t been sold, but I was hotter than most rappers when I was nine years old. But I’ve progressed, and I’ve become one the greatest, this ain’t the last you’ll hear from me this is simply the latest. This is my verbal attack on the rap game, you’re not feeling it, you’re either on crack or insane. And I welcome any disses, but they must be better or, I’ll tear you up, but not with weapons, with metaphors. So this is my lyrical serenade, verbal hand grenade, now I’m just waiting on my ticker- tape parade. So remember what you’ve learned, you know you’re into me, its Tony, here to take over the rap industry.
