RIght now the band is just a duo. John Graves II on acoustic guitar. Justin Howard is lead vocals and acoustic guitar. We are actually first cousins and grew up with the same musical influences. We both got into writing a couple of years back. Justin has been in the military and is getting out in July. We are going to fulltime on our compilations then.

Story behind the song
This song has had a metaphoric spirit from the start. In the beginning it started off being a poem to my son Cody Graves. I wanted to try to explain to him something about who I was. The Death of the crow is a metaphor symbolizing me trying to become more of what I think people want me to be. The lines saying that the wild no longer understands my voice represents that I am no longer part of that wild crowd, and before I was thier freakin King. I love my son so much. I have never cared if society understood me at all. He is the only person that I want to understand me. The poem in the start was of that subject matter entirely. When I started to record with Ken Thompson it just became something else. I really like the song but one day I am going to go back to re-do it the way that it was orignally supposed to be. --John Gravesii
