Story behind the song
© Music by Andrew Foyston 2005 In the early 19th Century,a horseman rode into a small town,in the Mid West,dodging the tumbleweed as he tethered his steed to the railing outside the General store come Saloon.It was the only building on the street. The music takes you through the years when the one building became two,three etc, and of course people started to arrive in their droves.It moves with speed as a rail station is added and that brings more industry and a workforce. Time is still moving on and the progress of the growth is increasing.You see early skyscrapers being erected, more schools, banks, shops.Early transport arrives in the form of Model T fords.The lonely street has now become a metropolis of business.There are traffic jams and people everywhere going about their day to day affairs. So now we reach the climax and up to date where the City is born..................... © Story written by a friend 2005
