A very chilled smokey jazz inspired hip-hop track, a la DJ Krush. This is a track I made for the Men From San Diego project here on soundclick. You can find out more about it here> http://www.soundclick.com/bands/4/menfromsandiego_music.htm

Choppy guitar samples, hip hop beats, glitchy electronics, layered live instrumentation and tracks that deconstruct and reconstruct spontaneously, Or Something

Story behind the song
The idea of the Project is that Thomas J has uploaded a series of short pieces of him playing solo sax. People then create their own track using the pieces. The sax reminded me alot of the kind of samples DJ Krush uses so i had a krush track in mind when I created this track. The main sax part is taken from a small part of the second sax piece. Parts of it have been chopped up, reversed and pitch shifted to get the desired effect. Anyway hope you like it. The track is named after the down town area of San Diego known as Gaslamp Quarter.
