Artist picture
Good ol' Rock n Roll, guitar driven, Hammondized, synthesized power blues with a taste of experimental electronica.
It's really just me now over 50. I write and perform my own stuff and love every minute of it, for me it's about the music and my ability to express myself. I'm never in a rush to finish things, I spend my time just loving being able to make my music when I please. I know I can't sing but I don't let it bug me much, I figure if anyone wants to take a swing at singing some of my tunes let's rock.

Story behind the song
This song is based on a poem my father wrote in 1941, when he was just 20 years old. Recently my mother discovered this and other poems and passed them on to me. My father now 84 and I have shared so much over the years, it's with great joy I share my greatest passion with him, my music. So for Father's day 2005 I put this poem to music. Truly he has proved himself to be a man of exceptional character, and what a treasure. The thoughts of this great man as began his journey through manhood. I'm truly proud to share this treasure with the world, enjoy.
Lyrics
The Whisper Did you ever hear the whisper Of snow falling in the sea When the winds are calm And the waves are still The mem’ry of it brings a thrill I’ll hear it again--I know I will And there I’ll live and there I’ll die There where the hawks and seagulls fly (whispered) I’ll hear it again--I know I will In the years that are to be For some fine day I’ll be returning To end the hours of endless yearning For my home close by the sea The mem’ry of it brings a thrill I’ll hear it again--I know I will And there I’ll live and there I’ll die There where the hawks and seagulls fly (whispered) There where the hawks and seagulls fly There where she waits for me Sleeping her sleep beside the sea I can never wake her--that is true But I can start my sleeping too The mem’ry of it brings a thrill I’ll hear it again--I know I will And there I’ll live and there I’ll die There where the hawks and seagulls fly The Poem (whispered) Did you ever hear the whisper Of snow falling in the sea When the winds are calm And the waves are still The mem’ry of it brings a thrill I’ll hear it again--I know I will In the years that are to be For some fine day I’ll be returning To end the hours of endless yearning For my home close by the sea And there I’ll live and there I’ll die There where the hawks and seagulls fly There where she waits for me Sleeping her sleep beside the sea I can never wake her--that is true But I can start my sleeping too
