What would happen if the world we knew turned out to be an illusion?
punk political social roc
A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.

Lyrics
There was a boy who lived his life in a cave Shadows on the walls were the natural ways No concept of the world where the others lived Distorted silhouettes reality to this kid Did he not know the truth or did truth not know him? Just a different set of bounds, a slower spin The answers on walls provided enough reason An enlightenment? Nah, I call it treason Knowledge is power Yet it leaves us sour As our axons fire Lives grow more dire Answers me this: Is ignorance bliss? We define reality by senses perceived Yet is it possible we’re all being deceived? If there exists another plane to obtain Would you seek it out or go with the grain? What if everything we valued was proven wrong? With these new truths could we still go on? The red pill or the blue pill, you decide Maybe I’ll see you on the other side Knowledge is power Yet it leaves us sour As our axons fire Purpose grows more dire Answers me this: Is ignorance bliss? I’m living life Simple and trite What’s reality But what I can see? With other’s eyes Am I still I? When I change Would I grow estrange? If I’m content A blind transient Why should I seek Of what other’s speak? I am my own And I’m all alone On this epic quest I must confess I will remain And I’ll stay sane I will maintain My thoughts contained I will abstain On this campaign I will obtain What I refrain
