“Reverse the Trend”. This is the motto that the Hottest new rap duo to ever hit the Planet, lives by. More than just the future title of their debut album, it’s a way of life. “Bad Intentions” consists of, “Cuzzin Dubb”, born JJ Williams and “The Murf”, birthed, C. Damareus Murphy. What started as a hobby in high school, soon turned into a potential Enigma! Bad Intentions are a product of Brookwood High, (Situated in the suburbs of Gwinnett County) one of the most sought after schools in the south. A school rich in diversity and success can boast having stars in the NFL, NCAA, and the modeling world. Pretty soon it will be able to add Music Superstars to that list. As a strange twist of fate, Bad Intentions weren’t always as tight as they seem. Cuzzin Dubb transferred from a rival high school his junior year, where he was a star on the basketball team. He stands at an amazing 6’5”! He would later receive a basketball scholarship to Truett-McConnell in Northeast, Ga. The duo had totally diff. Friends and lifestyles. They would see each other but would never acknowledge one another (That’s High School for ya). It wasn’t until the two had a class together in Dubbs senior year, that they connected on a friendship level. The thing that brought them together was their mutual like for rap music. Dubb was surprised at Murfs knowledge of rap music from the west coast. Dubb who spent some summers in Los Angeles, so it took him by storm that a kid born and raised in GA actually payed attention to music from that coast. They began to battle each other for practice everyday in class. Music was a hobby for Dubb, but it was Murfs ticket to stardom. Damareus Murphy has been on the Atlanta music scene since he was a sophomore in High School. He is a natural performer who has done music ranging from pop, rap, to harmony driven soul. He was handpicked to be in a four part vocal group. He has shared the stage with Multi-million selling recording artist “Freak Nasty”, No Limit Records artists “6 piece” and other stars of the southern region. He has also done shows sponsored by Radio Disney, 95.5 “The Beat”, and Star 94 fm. During his senior year he went solo and recorded a few songs that would be the seed for things to come. One song titled “All-N-Here 2gether” was selected to the backdrop for the prom part in Brookwoods senior video tribute. This song was about people of all diff. ethnicities and sub cultural groups co-existing as one. Basically the theme for his life! The Murf stated, “I wrote that song about all my peeps at school, it’s a blessing that they loved it so much that they’d place me among the top artists in the world who can also be heard on the tribute”. If everything plays itself out, Bad Intentions will be placed in the echelon also. Bad Intentions music is very hard to describe. Not too many lyricist can make songs that can be pop crossover hits w/ out dumbing down there lyrics. This is where B.I. excels. Every song is an adventure that will have you singing along while scratching your head. A repertoire of songs that cover a wide range of areas. “Burban Chick” is a sure fire smash hit! Finally a song for girls with morals, who value education and alone time. The chorus of this song will have you repeating it in your sleep! “Meeting w/ Gunz” is an anthem for the suburbs. Its basically saying don’t underestimate anyone. Check out the lyrics and energy of that song! “Narcissistic” is an underground fav. About girls who will say a guy is arrogant, but will let him basically do anything to/for him. This song provides some serious comic relief! “Get da F” is a club banger! This song tells people to party, and forget about all that hardcore/cool stuff. The song that will shock people the most is the potential title track for a B.I. debut album. “Reverse da Trend”, shows a side of young men rarely scene in todays society. Introspective lyrics on the happenings of humanity, Bad Intentions style. Another chorus that will be embedded into your brain, while making you reflect! Yes that’s “The Murf” singing that chorus!! Bad Intentions are a couple of guys who aren’t afraid to go against the grain, it has garnered them a numerous amount of admires in a relative short time. Fansites and message boards have been created in their likeness. They will soon be plastered on the walls of girls across the world, with their uncanny good looks and extraordinary music.
