Poverty Report, the 2nd track on our demo, is totally different from Wanderer in that it's a lot quieter and a slower and is in a melancholy D minor key that gives it an air of sombreness.

Sound poems, composed using diverse styles and harmonies from many genres of music, fused to create a living, breathing entity
Well here's the dealio. We all go to the same school and Mayank, Dom and I were already really tight. We played a "gig" at this random party at Christmas last year and we did a couple of Hendrix and Dylan covers and we thought it worked really well and that it was really fun so we decided to form a band. We found Joe and Ben, who we were vaguely friends with, at school. Ben was a bass god and Joe was a really great drummer so we decided to have a jam and see how it worked and thankfully it worked really well and decided to do some of Dom's songs and record them. Name - Mayank "Where Did I Leave My Bag?" Dadheech Name - Rousseau "Calcutta Slim (bein ironic btw)" Dasgupta Name - Joe "The Hoe" Russell Name - Benjamin "I don't have a witty nickname" Davis Age - 16 Birthday - 20th October Favourite Artists - RHCP, Foo Fighters, Muse, Kings of Leon Style - Bass and Theory God... Story behind the song
Where Wanderer is more about an uptempo journey through the mind of a dauntless thinker, Poverty Report laments the harsh conditions endured by those in poverty and is really quite epic, according to Mayank. It starts off with just the acoustic guitar, but gradually builds up to include the layering of all the instruments and culminates in a haunting riff and an unyielding Mayank guitar solo.
Lyrics
Dark lands, dark hands Sunk into the soil Aging with toil Hardening dirt Is the earth That surrounds All around Grey flowers bloom (x2) Chorus This is the pain That remains the same Generations fed on a milk Thin as silken rain Passed on Like a con Like a daughter cell (x5) The land divides, is divided, derided By an ancient source Of mocking laughter That those left hereafter and outside Will grin and retort This is the Poverty Report Poverty Report Chorus Repeat first verse Chorus
