A song inspired by a mighty oak in my hometown of Savannah, GA. Folksy fantasy...you'll want milk and cookies when this one is finished. And yes, it is a Laundry Room Production. Photo copr Jeff Cochran, used by permission, all rights reserved. An.

Story behind the song
Once upon a time, there was a majestic oak in the woodsy areas of a coastal Georgia town. The oak still stands, tall, graceful, yet majestic. The woods are gone. It is now the centerpiece of a subdivision known as Majestic Oaks. The song picture IS the Majestic Oak, but only eyes on in person does it justice. This began as a serious song, but quickly fell apart into the fantasy it became. Its a fun one. Photo copr. Jeff Cochran, used by permission, all rights reserved. If you'd like to see more goto http://www.pbase.com/savannahga/oak. Though the px are great, there's still nothing like seeing this puppy in person. If you're headed for Savannah, send an email, I'll give you directions. Please note that this song has a triple redundency in it, twice, once at the beginning and again at the end. Lots of songs have double redundencys...hypnotysing mezmerising me...or...its a paradox full of contradictions...but this is a triple redundency, so please appreciate it when it comes by.
Lyrics
Alone by myself with no one else around I walked through the forest not hearing a sound When up to a giant of an oak tree I come Majestic in stature none bigger not one Hello mighty oak I said sheepishly The oak tree you see is much bigger than me The silence was broken when to my surprise This majestic oak gave a majestic sigh Scared is a word that would fit me right then Yet through the fear I still managed a grin But fear turned to sorrow and as I drew near This majestic oak cried a majestic tear What kind of problem could make a tree cry This majestic oak so much bigger than I In a voice that was frightened and fragile and frail This majestic oak told a majestic tale The people from Keebler were here just today They're thinking of moving their factory this way Cookies and crackers to put on your shelves This majestic oak filled with miniature elves What in the world I thought to myself This majestic oak is afraid of an elf Chocolate chip cookies they'll make from within My sorrow dispersed and again I did grin I said mighty oak there's no reason to ache Those elves of their tree good care they will take Fame and good fortune to you they will bring Now majestic oak to this thought you should cling The oak seemed much better and no longer sad I mean after all elves aren't really that bad And that's where I left it not much else to say Now majestic oak have a majestic day This tale has a moral I'm sure there's no doubt But just what it is I'll let you figure out A walk through the woods an adventure I found Alone by myself with no one else around
