We talk the talk but...Can we walk the walk?
Lyrics
MAKING HER MINE - 2004 Gary Bigelow
Now I’m the kind of guy who, believe it or not,
when it comes to woman, I’m not what you would call “hot”.
But, I’m changing my “tune” real soon. I’m gonna make that girl mine.
I really wish I could be true to my word.
I talk the talk, but never walk the walk, the truth is.
I’ve said to myself: “Why wait ? This girl could be mine.
She’s everything a man could want, a “self-contained” perfection.
Just watching her style, from the corner of the room,
she inspires me to “ faceup” and make a move.
Now, you can confiscate my wallet, lift my Visa, have a ball.
Take away my guitar, horns, and pawn them all.
But, as far as the lady’s concerned, I’m making her mine.
I’m not the kind of good-ol’ lucky guy, who always wins at....checkers.
(Yeah..That’s right , checkers!)
I believe I got some time on my side.
I got to risk the fall and bet it all, start hitting my stride.
“Start out with some small talk, initiate some conversation.
Improvise, speak my mind, try my best to justify the reasons
I desire her, with something like.....“Excuse me Ms....
How ‘bout me and you goin’ out, have some fun, sip some imported wine.
‘Cause as far as I’m concerned, I’m making you mine.”
“Let’s cut right to the chase. I’m making her mine.
You can drive away my four-by-four,but I’m making her mine.
O.K.... “Oh....wow !.... Here she comes! All right.....Here goes..........
Well..umm...maybe tomorrow..... ( Yeah ....)”
