This song is entirely conjecture, based on one specific interpretation of Matthew 24:40-44 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. As I mentioned in both the lyrics index and the FAQ page, this song's purpose is more to create a cohesive story, and should therefore be taken with a grain of salt.
Also, the lyrics seem to indicate the concept of praying to angels or other human beings. It is important that I be clear on this subject. It is against Biblical principle to pray to anyone/anything but God Himself. Likewise, no angel or person in heaven can intercede for us alive here on earth. The storyline of this entire collection is that the singer is having visions of what might happen to him if he was not a believer. In this song, all of
the believers have vanished from the earth in a lightning-fast event called the “Rapture”. Therefore, the singer is crying out in confusion, and the chorus of this song is meant to be a general cry of distress.
Lyrics
I 'woke this morning to the screaming sirens' sound.
A chaos nothing like I've heard before.
Turned on my radio to get the morning news.
I sat and listened in a silent horror.
They said millions of people vanished overnight.
All over the world the same thing's going on.
Confused and terrified those who remain.
No one can figure out where they've all gone.
Goodbye little children
Goodbye innocence
Goodbye light of the world.
Hear me, little children
In the sky above
Pray for me that I will make it.
I will help you.
Then came the voices of the demons that would lead.
Deceitful words that pacify our cries.
“We're cleansed of all the weak ones who can not evolve
Humanity can now survive.”
Those Fools! I know that's not the truth at all.
What's been removed is all that's pure and right.
Those left behind are delivered into evil's hand.
The world's been plunged into its final night.
Goodbye little children
Goodbye innocence
Goodbye light of the world.
Hear me, little children
In the sky above
Pray for me that I will make it.
