YOUR FATHER'S VOICE
Words and Music by Aron Racho
now the sounds around you clatter to the floor
they came in through the windows
but leave the doors adjar
from all your sacred spaces
the corners your shoes reside
gone from the bed you dream on
nowhere at all to hide
where is your father's voice now
when you first found courage into yourself
do you cling to your mother's apron
can she sweep you fears outside
was that a scream you heard echoing through the night
no priestly robes to sooth her
just the wind to serve the final rites
when the hour follows hour
so much sooner than before
and the secret that you denied was true
falls out from all the corners of the sky
where is your father's voice now
when you first found courage into yourself
do you cling to your mother's apron
can she sweep you fears outside
when will there be no fear or flying
just a little push
and then the sequence takes over
then there will be no fear of dying
just a little push
when the sequence takes over
let the sequence take over
