Story behind the song
Written by Kim several years ago, but never actually recorded or published until now, Right Path is reborn. We revamped the song, striving to allow it to become what it wanted to be. We wound up with a slow, hard driving, highly energetic blues rock feel. Kim’s vocals are exquisite as always and the deeply thought provoking message in her lyrics may have you doing some serious soul searching. For you guitar lovers, Steve grinds a blue-hot axe and provides a rock solid bottom on bass. Percussionist Pete Brunner pounds out a deliciously granite hard beat that you simply cannot resist moving to. Set the EQ for rock and play this one loud!
Lyrics
Don't remember who I used to be,
I knew it wouldn't last.
Don't remember who I was...
Seems a lot of, seems a lot of time has gone past.
Seems a lot of, seems a lot of time has gone past.
Take me to the right path,
nudge me from this stagnant state.
Remind me of the dreams I had,
if it's not too late.
Not sure who I've become,
is it worth the cost?
Not sure of anything...
And you know there's, and you know there's times I get lost.
And you know there's, and you know there's times I get lost.
Take me to the right path,
nudge me from this stagnant state.
Remind me of the dreams I had,
if it's not too late.
No idea where I'm going,
I fear the end of day.
No idea where to go...
Tell me that you'll, tell me that you'll show me the way.
Tell me that you'll, tell me that you'll show me the way.
Take me to the right path,
nudge me from this stagnant state.
Remind me of the dreams I had,
if it's not too late.
Excellent bluesy rock track - love the guitar playing and the vocals. Great sound!
