This is a country protest song about developer versus the community and with political persuasion anything is possible
Story behind the song
The developers are about to move in on some land that is very precious to me. The only thing that will stop them is legislation. August 2005: The Government stepped in and bought the land and it will set aside as a reserve. The wind has indeed turned around this place.
Lyrics
They come with scopes and ultrasound
Their special plans, this special place
Drawing lines, across the ground
Demarcation in the wind
Others come with attitude
Their special land, their special place
Drawing slogans across the card
Confrontation in the wind
Don’t tell me how its progress
Don’t say we must move on
The wind is turning around this place
High pressure, and high time
Now its cars with flashing lights
And special rules with special rights
A thin blue line, across the ground
Incarceration in the wind
A gentle sway
Politicians fright
Ride the breeze
Put it right
Theres legislation in the wind
Just tell me now of progress
Just show how we’ve moved on
The wind has turned around this place
High pressure, and high time
