Story behind the song
The summer after my 8th grade was one of the worst summers I'll ever remember. All this was captured and put into lyrics. "Its all part of your Daily Therapy."
Lyrics
Verse 1
Goin on August and all I know is… summer’s fading away..
I just scored a goal playing soccer yesterday.
Goin into 9th grade now; it seems as though, my life’s a drag for me…
My girlfriend never gives me anything.
And all I know is, her love was worth only 46 cents
Is there nothing left? My summer’s wasted…
Everyday my strength died down-
Well I don’t want this no more…
No way…
Chorus
Everyday’s a waste,
because I don’t want this.
Every night’s a throbing pain
Because school’s come again.
And all I know is when these three months pass me by,
I’ll wonder why the rain hasn’t come down again…
Verse 2
My friends came over, they thought of murder, so we gave the girls a call…
They came over in an hour or so from then.
Yeah she kissed me, I fought the fight, its just not right, I don’t wanna stay…
So I hid from it, and she found out the next day.
I don’t know the…way to Neverland.
Does god promise…a trusting helping hand?
Why cant I just fly, away from here…
Everyday I wanna’ sit right here,
Enjoy the silence I can’t have.
Everyday I want to sing for her,
She never wants to take a laugh.
In the summer I sang this song to her,
But she never appreciates what I do for her all my life…
So put away the hashpipe!
Bridge
She’s gone, I know-that my life is at stake.
School starts, I’m toast, because my grades wont rise-
I know that words cant help, but there’s always hope.
Its over…
"SUMMER'S WASTED AGAIN!"
