Story behind the song

I lost my grandfather, who was an extraordinary man.  He always supported my musical interest.  I wrote this song after his passing in 1998.

The air and flowers, grass and fern
The bright world in it's cycle spun
Assured and cradled by the sun

How the darkness embraced the rain
The turning darkness of the earth
Always gave way to rebirth
