Story behind the song
R. A. Torrey (1856-1928) is one of my spiritual heroes for his exhaustive knowledge of the Bible and his powerful teaching on the Holy Spirit. These elements come together in his only known hymn, "Bless Thou Jehovah." My new musical setting aims to bring this song back into use by today's worshippers. Bless Thou Jehovah Oh, my soul bless thou Jehovah, God of love and grace art thou, Thou alone art wise and holy; At thy feet I humbly bow.
