Story behind the song
This work is about the oldest one I've written. The sketches are contained in the spiral manuskript paper binder I used in my very first music theory class. In this setting, USMA West Point Cadet Chapel organist Lee Detra is playing on the upright piano in the nave while tourists are admiring the flags and other decorations on display there. The vocal was added in later.
