This was recorded in 1999 and is of the "prophet shouting doom down from the mountain" persuasion. The year 2000 just seemed like faraway science fiction, I guess. The song is available on our 2001 album, "For Sale".

Story behind the song
This is the height of Tom and Brian's "space rap" phase; lots of fast complex rhymes over electro beats and keyboards. After Matt added in the chorus sample, Tom told him that a prominent rap artist had just used that as his chorus. Matt said he hadn't heard it and that probably meant nobody else had either. Matt lives with his head in the sand most of the time. Also, in this song, Brian talks about how he had "love for you all" while on tour in 98. ...Um, yeah he really didn't. He was Litler up there onstage most of the time. Anyway, enjoy - it's a fun song, really.
